WindSlayer 2

Huge fan of 2D Side Scrolling MMORPG Game? Then you might want to check this one out. Although most players prefer 3D, some of us still enjoy a good old 2D experience. So what does Windslayer 2 offers to our fellow 2D fans?  Massive PVP galore, packed with some slash and dash action!

              
              Some of you may recall the game from 2009 as to where they created the first WindSlayer. It might be simple for some folks but also quoted as “Easy to play but difficult to master.” Although it was a great run for a couple of months I never heard from the game since then. Thanks to Ignited Games they managed to get back on the track, and have given 2D gamers like me a second chance to relive the adventures we’ve experienced in WindSlayer. So I guess the next question would be, what is new on Windslayer 2?

So, atleast to sum up my adventures so far in Windslayer 2, I have listed down some of the things which I’ve personally experienced inside the game. 

Noobie Guide: Where do I start?

The Beginning of the Adventure. No really, that’s the name of the place where you will start your first tutorial quest. Mainly it teaches you about the controls, how to open treasure chests, and using “S” and “D” for attack that’s about it really. But if you already know how the game works, then feel free to skip it. 

Once you’re done with the tutorial you’ll be receiving quests such as delivering mails and gathering quest items from monsters. You will probably receive XP along the way, but before you add stats there make sure you put em’ in the proper category, I don’t want you waste your time spending all your stats on pure INT when you’re planning to be a warrior. 

So to simply put this is how stats work: STR: Close Range Attacks/INT: Magic Power and MP Increase/DEX: Long Range and High Def Attribute/VIT: High Physical Def and Max HP.

TIP: I prefer to sort my stats once I reached Level 10 for the Job Change.

Classes: What is the best class for me?

It all depends on your game play style and not that complicated as you think it is, here are the choices: Warrior, Archer, Mage, Rogue, Monk and Priest. Long Range (Archer, Mage, Priest) or Short Range (Warrior, Rogue, Monk). Once you reached Level 30 2^nd Class Job Change will happen which will give you a class upgrade.

Modern Vampires

Today MMORPG technology has reached its peak by having its most hi-end graphics.  From a hard core gamers view (that’s view) having a good quality of graphics isn’t a big deal to me.  I am actually into the games content or the game play/story of it.  Since most of the games today have the same game play or story.

      Game play wise, Dark Eden is truly unique. Combining features from old school cult classics, DE will remind you of the good old days of PC gaming, games such as Diablo and fallout 2 come to mind when you’re blasting your way through mutants and abominations. When the sub machine guns, vampires, creepy urban environment and puddles of blood all come together you get a great original F2P MMORPG that will keep you hooked for long time. 

Game play

Darkeden is a hack-and-slash game, which requires the players to kill hordes of monsters in order to make their character progress. 

Darkeden is oriented toward player versus player. Except for few safe zones, players can be attacked without any restriction at any moment by other players.

Players may change the race of their character during their progression. If a human is bitten by a vampire, they will turn into a vampire unless they can cure themselves in time. Vampire characters can choose to turn humans by talking to an NPC who will do the work for them

Vampire – Masters of the night.  Vampires increase their stats by attacking.  They unlock new skills as they level up and have the ability to bite members of the other races and turn them into vampires if they do not find a cure in time.

Slayers – Holy warriors who hunt down Vampires during the day.  Slayers must work up their skills by fighting, but allocate their stat points each level.  Slayers can use melee weapon like swords, mace, and axes or ranged weapons such as rifles, sniper rifles, and pistols.

Ouster – A race composed entirely of females, Ousters tool refuge in their lush forested enclave, but has emerged to reclaim their land from both the Vampires and Slayers.  Ousters prefer melee combat and gain stat and skill points each level to distribute.  They are the easiest race for new player since their play style is similar to classes found in newer MMORPGs.

PVP

      PvP was actually decent since vampire whose winning could kill, and bite the Hunter. Also a hunter can use silver weapons, and hurt the vampire to limit their health. Of course both things were reversible. Just that when you played you had to be careful of hiding vampires, and large parties of hunters. Either thing can mean your instant death.

         A Vampire themed Free-to-play online Horror action MMORPG!  The game takes place in the fictional eastern European country of Eslania where war rages between the vampires,the humans(slayers) and the Ousters (half breeds) who compete to take control of the powerful blood bible.

Vampires are known to be as the lethal warriors of night.

They are strong doing dungeons and quests alone, they use their own blood (hp) to be able to use spells rather than Mana. They use curses, acids, poisons, Summons as magic spells to kill their foes. This race is stronger at night and weaker during day.

There are two main classes (builds) for the vampires these are the Mage Vampire and the Close Combat (melee) Vampire.

Combat Vampires are Vampires that uses high speed skills but, they inflict lower damage than Mage Vampires. Melee vampires are well known on tanking a large mob of monsters or boss monsters because their sturdy defense and high dodge rate.

Mage Vampires are Vampires that uses demonic spells on their enemies. They inflict greater damage than the combat vampires.

Slayers (humans) They are the anti-vampire soldiers of the game.

Unlike the vampires, they are strong during the day and weaker during the night. They are weak on doing dungeons and quests alone but they are strong on groups.

Slayers have various classes these are :

Bladers they use 2 handed swords, they poses powerful damage to kill their enemies. They have lower defense compared the sworders.

Sworders they use 1 handed swords and a shield they inflict weaker damage than bladers but they have sturdier defense than Bladers. They are one of the strongest classes on the slayers.

Healers they use cross (wands) to cast spells on their enemies. They have stuns and skills that inflicts great damage. They use Heal, Buffs and revive skills.

Enchanters they are the class that you should be afraid of if you are a melee type, but they are weak against magic type classes like some ousters.

Gunner they poses different kinds of guns and inflict pretty good damage. They are easy to play with because of their range.

Ousters are half human and half vampire. Like the slayers they are strong during day time but weak during night time.  Unlike the vampires they get their strength on sunlight. These race have only one gender, they are all female.

The Ousters are divided into two main classes the melee class and the mage class

Melee class ousters uses ring like blades called “chakrams.

Mage class, unlike other races ousters uses skill trees in which decides which element they should major on to. These are Earth, Fire, Water elements.

 Blood Bible War

The Earth starts to crumbling and trembling… This means the Blood Bible War has Begun!

Blood bible War is the main event of this game. It’s a one hour of unending blood batht between the three races,  it arises in the Holy Land of Adam.

The main goal in this war is to gather Blood Bibles on opposing race’s castle. The race that gathers the most blood bible is declared the winner. After the event, races that have blood bibles on their castle would be able to use the bible’s bonus points.
